Plants & Florals

Take a look at a selection of my plant and floral arrangements and designs.

Plant Products

This is a product I designed in collaboration with the business director. I came up with the hanging mechanism at the back, the French Cleat. This sleek design integrates the mechanism seamlessly with the boxes overall design, meaning it can sit without being hung and be seen from the back. I also designed the arrangement that we use as the standard design that is sold.

This is a wall planter arrangement I designed, it is now one of the standard designs I make to order. I also make custom design at the request of our clients. I have made hundreds of these half circle wall planters, sometimes finishing dozens in a couple of days.

While working at Handcrafted Flowers and The Plants Project I have had five years of experience in plant arranging and designing, and five years of fine tuning my practical skills.

I have on occasion assisted in designing the products we sell, the plant designs, the products and how the product is produced. It’s my job to understand as many different types of floristry engineering types as possible and use that understanding to create efficient techniques to help create these products on mass, quickly. I also create ways to pack and safely ship these products, so the client can receive their purchase as quickly as possible.

We also provide a service of putting artificial plants into pots and styling them to look real. Most of these plants come flat packed in their boxes and it is my job to understand how the real plant looks and to shape each plant to resemble the living plant as accurately as possible in as little time as possible. I have developed many different techniques to reach these results.

Plant Installs

Year
11/02/2026

As part of The Plants Project, a team of me and my colleagues go to businesses and homes to install plants designed by us and our clients. It’s my job to prepare the plants and materials for these installs, and often to participate in them. Because of my eye for detail and dedication to the final result, I am usually brought in for jobs that require extra attention. My love for creating impactful, beautiful immersive art drives me to create these careful, efficient and often large-scale plant installs.

Floral Arrangements

These are some of the arrangements I have made using artificial flowers for myself.

I love arranging with dried and preserved flowers because of there longevity. I found this wreath on the side of the road, I pulled it apart and rearranged it, adding all of the colour you see.

Certificate in Floristry

In 2021 I did a Certificate III in Floristry. These are some of the photos I took of the arrangements I made in all of the different styles we were taught.

Floral Design

As part of the Certificate in Floristry, I was tasked with designing some arrangements as well as practising my drawing. These are some of the arrangements I designed and drew.

During my Floristry course, I was tasked with designing a mock wedding to design the florals for. I chose to design for fictional characters from a once loved book series where magic was real.

A Magical Wedding

Design for the decorations, on the tent poles, The table centres and the bride’s boutique.

Window Display

The final design proposal

As part of my floristry studies, a group of us had to design and realize a window display that celebrated spring. This was a collaborative effort, in design and execution, however I took the lead on creating drawings that represented our design and provided suggestions for a plan by to breaking down the steps.

We decided to create a dress, inspired by spring fashion week. We sourced a wire mannequin and decided to keep the design focused solely on the dress itself.

We separated into two teams within our group, one team arranging the bodice section and another producing the skirt and preparing the flowers and wiring. We then came together to combine the two sections. On the day of installation, I was part of the second team.
